Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is an international airport located in Taoyuan Township, Taiwan. It is one among the two airport that serves Taipei. It is one of the four international airports in Taiwan and is the largest amongst all. The airport was previously known as Chiang Kai-shek International airport untill 2006.
There are 2 Terminals within the airport.
Terminal 1: Terminal 1 has 18 gates and 2 concourses namely A and B.
Terminal 2: Terminal 2 has 20 gates and 2 concourses namely C and D.
The 2 Terminals are connected by a people movers line.

Prayer Facilities
There are two Muslim prayer rooms within the transit area of the Airport. One is located in Terminal 1 near Gate B3 and the other in Terminal 2 near gate C1.They are open 24 hours.
There is a Halal certified restaurant in Taoyuan airport in the transit area. It is located in Terminal 2, near gate C9. There is another halal certified food outlet in the public area basement B1 of Terminal 1.
There is an MRT rail system connecting the airport to major cities and locations.
There are also buses available from the airport that would take you to major cities like Taipei, Taoyuan, Jhongli, Taichung, Changhua and etc.
You can hire a taxi to take you to your destination.
There is a plethora of stores and shops in the airport. You can find many international brands as well as the local Taiwanese boutiques. There is even a 24 hour convenience store for the travelers. Within the airport you will find apparels, jewellery, handcrafts, souvenirs, cosmetics, electronics, bookstores, children's store, pharmacy and much more. There are also duty free shop present within the airport. A complete shopping delight as you wait for your flight.
